Fixing DVR and On Demand

Sometimes tapping the On Demand or DVR icons on the home screen does not successfully launch these services. This is often because the icons have not been linked to the correct buttons for your TV provider and set-top box brand.

This is a step-by-step guide to fix this setting.

1. On Ray’s home screen, tap the Settings icon
2. Tap "Devices"
3. Tap your set-top box (which is labeled differently based on your TV provider as "Cable Box," "DISH Receiver," or "DirecTV Receiver").
4. Tap "Advanced Settings" (you may need to scroll down to find it)
5. Tap "Channel Settings"
6. Tap "On Demand Command" or "DVR Command" (whichever one is not working correctly)

7. Select the correct button for accessing the services:

If you access On Demand/DVR by entering a channel number, tap the "Channel Number" listed at the top. Use the keypad to enter the correct channel number and tap "Update"—a green checkmark appears to indicate that Ray will use that command.

If you access On Demand/DVR by pressing a button on your remote, scroll through the list of buttons to find the one you use. You can test buttons by tapping the “Test” button to see which launches On Demand/DVR on your TV. When you find the correct button, tap on the name—a green checkmark appears to indicate that Ray will use that command.
